About Me

I’m Joanna, the creator of Purrfectly Creative. I currently work full time in the NHS and have done for the last 19 years.

I’ve been living in Cambridgeshire since my early teens after living most of my life abroad as my dad was in the Royal Air Force. I suffered a a traumatic spinal injury in 2017 so crafting played a big role in my rehabilitation and it still plays a big mindfulness role in reducing stress from my full time job.

In 2019, I decided to be brave and joined a local Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator’s craft classes. I quickly made some new crafting friends; we have such a laugh when we’re together. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I decided that as I was loving Stampin’ Up! products so much, why not join as a demonstrator to save some money. Now I’ve decided to broaden my horizon from being a hobby demonstrator to running my own business and share my passion for card making.

I’m sure you’re probably wondering how I came up with my business name. And the simple answer is, I’m a huge cat lover. I currently have two cats that I rescued from the local shelter, but I have been known to take in many waifs and strays in need of a good home. In fact, my parents have two cats via this route right now. And add to that, I like being creative be it card making or even upcycling.

In these current times, it’s been hard to offer face to face classes but I am looking into developing online classes and setting up video tutorials and classes.
