Triple point fun fold cards

Hello,

Welcome back to my blog. This week I thought I would share some triple point fun fold cards that I made recently at a team mystery stamping get together.

This is another benefit of purchasing the starter kit, you get to join some fabulously talented demonstrators. Many of whom have become great friends. They're a wealth of knowledge and experience but we also have such fun when we have events. Obviously the pandemic has meant that we need to do these events online, but we still have tons of fun.

We have mystery stamping evenings, this means that all we get is a list of supplies but we have no idea what we'll be making until the night. At the most recent event, we were shown how to make these triple point cards. They were so much easier to make than they look but aren't they effective?!  You don't find these in the card shops!

I have used some retired product but these cards are a great way to use up any left over kits you might have or designer series paper.

For the greeting on this card, I used the postage stamp punch with the Biggest Wish stamp set and bermuda bay ink.

Again, I used the Biggest Wish stamp set for the greeting and fussy cut it out. I used a selection of blends to colour the snail and mushrooms in before die cutting them. This stamp and die set is still available until the end of June, so if you want it, now is the time to get or you'll miss out.

All of the elements from this card and the next were from the Boho Indigo kit that is now retired.

I hope you like them!

Kit collections class. Booking closes Sunday 26th June.

Stampin' Up! have released their new kit collections. There are 10 kits to choose from and these are only available whilst stocks last.

Each kit will provide step-by-step instructions, they are all-inclusive, pre-cut, and ready to use; plus, new kits will be added regularly so remember to check back often!

Kits come with everything someone needs to enjoy creativity and not feel overwhelmed, so are perfect for beginners and avid crafters alike.

Here are the kits you can choose from:

All-inclusive

Our kits come with everything required to complete the specific projects. Supplies include a block and ink spot(s) if applicable, plus any necessary adhesive—like Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, etc. Pre-cut pieces, elements and instructions are included.

Each kit contains:
  • Card bases & pre-cut pieces: Most card bases are pre-printed to create a beautiful look with less work.
  • Adhesives: Adhesives included vary based on the project.
  • Stamps: The stamps in our stamping kits are photopolymer. This allows a new stamper to see where they are stamping, and that helps inspire creative confidence.
  • Clear block: All stamping kits include a clear block. It is thinner than a catalogue block, has rounded corners, and measures 2-7/8" x 2-11/16" (7.3 x 6.8 cm).
  • Stampin’ Spots: A Stampin’ Spot is a small ink pad. We use this size of ink pad because, again—this is an “experience in a box” and beginners may not want to collect crafting supplies.
The projects are planned, designed, and prepped so you, the customer can just enjoy the experience of creating with confidence without feeling overwhelmed.

The instructions are in colour and show completed projects and digital, step-by-step renderings. The instructions also include a QR code pointing you to a video that will help assemble the kit (if needed). And best of all...everything fits in one box!

This is not a subscription so you can pick the kit(s) you like the most.

Stamping Kits are priced at 23,00 €/ £18.00 and Non-Stamping Kits are priced at just 14,50 €/ £11.00.

You can order online through my shop here. Or why not join my online class on Tuesday 13th July where I will walk you through the kit of your choice and show you some alternatives to make your kit stretch further.

To book onto the class complete the booking form here, letting me know which kit you want to use. I look forward to seeing you on the 13th July! Hurry, booking closes Sunday 26th June.

Take care,
x

June Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - CASE the catty

Welcome to this month's Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop

Whether you're starting your 'hop' here or have joined me from Tracie's blog, a very warm welcome to you!

This month's theme is CASE (Copy and Share Everything) the catty (catalogue). So what did I reach for? Turtle Friends! I am loving this new bundle and can't seem to stop making with them.

You'll find them on page 56 of the new annual catalogue and the slimline card seen in the bottom of the picture below was my inspiration.

I didn't copy the card exactly but here is my take on it.

For the Turtle, I stamped in Evening Evergreen on basic white and the shell from Granny Apple Green. I coloured the body in Crumb Cake as well as on the shell to remove some of the white and punched out.

To create the background, I used our new blending brushes and some granny apple green for grass and then used the grass detail stamp from the stamp set in second generation granny apple green.

For the sky I used the new After The Storm stamp set. I love creating scenes so this was a must have for me when I saw it. For the sun, I used the small circle stamp from the new Watercolour Shapes set (another of my must haves), and stamped it in daffodil delight and the same for the rays. The after the storm set comes with some gorgeous clouds too and I stamped them in balmy blue to give the illusion of the sun breaking through the clouds and of course, added some birds to the sky. For the balloon, I used the Hippo Happiness set. I stamped once directly behind the sentiment and then again on some scrap. I cut just the top of the balloon and added it on dimensionals above the sentiment.

I placed it all on a balmy blue card base that measures 8x8", scored in half at 4" to create the slimline base.

For a little bit of detail to the inside, I stamped one of the little turtles from the set and the party hat and coloured it in

Here's my facebook live where I made the card.

And of course, I couldn't stop at one, I had to make another card and I used the Picture This dies to create a Turtle Friends peekaboo card.

I die cut first before deciding where I was going to stamp, then coloured the turtles the same way as I did above. I used fresh freesia for the little bird and polished pink for the little hearts. The balloon was the same as above from the Hippo Happiness set. And finished off with a white twine bow and the new 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels.

They're just too cute! I hope you like them as much as I did making them.

Thanks for stopping by, next up is Gez, I cannot wait to see what she's been creating with. Click the next button below, or any of the links in the roll call below for some fantastic inspiration from this creative team.

Butterfly Brilliance and Give It A Whirl dies

Hello and welcome back to my blog. I hope you're managing to enjoy the gorgeous weather we are experiencing here in the UK at the moment.

Today I have a special card that I made my friend who has had a special birthday recently. She loves butterflies so I had to use my butterfly dies and I did combine it with the now sold out Butterfly Bijou designer series paper (dsp).

From a sheet of 12x12” basic white cardstock, I created a 6x6” card base. On a sheet of dsp, I stamped butterflies from the stamp Butterfly Brilliance bundle in smoky slate to add further interest to the back ground and adhered this to the card base, ensuring the whole front was covered.

I then cut the wheel from the Give It A Whirl dies using thick basic white. And used the main die from the set to cut the front from dsp (although in hindsight it was a little thin), I die cut the window by lining up the little pin hole on the die cut front.

Then I stamped on the wheel using sentiments from the Best Year stamp set. (It was easy to do as the impression on the wheel was the same shape of the window). Just make sure you stamp them the right way up!

To get more movement on the wheel I punched an extra circle to put on the back of the wheel. I used one of the new brads from the catalogue to attach the front, wheel and punched circle together.

I added dimensionals all around the wheel, down all the sides (make sure it doesn’t stop the wheel from turning) and on the punched circle over the top of the back of the brad.

And then I cut the number 40 from Playful Alphabet dies, in magenta madness and glued on to one of the openings on the wheel.

I decorated by wrapping white twine on the side and adding die cut butterflies from the butterfly brilliance bundle (I cut the detail from basic white and magenta madness and die cut the solid from vellum). And finished the card off with some rhinestone basic jewels on the body of the butterflies and underneath to create a butterfly trail.

For the inside, I used a layer of dsp and a layer of basic white. The verse on the inside is from the retired stamp set Thanks For The Laughs. For a little bit of detail, I added a butterfly cut from magenta madness in the corner.

Here's a short video showing you how it works, click here.

June Monthly Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - Alcohol Ink Blending

Hello and welcome, whether you are starting the hop here or have joined me from Annette's blog (and her fabulous project). There's so much inspiration from the team, so please check out what there is to share with you.

For this month's blog hop, I decided to use the alcohol ink blending technique and combined it with the Turtle Friends Bundle and Butterfly Brilliance dies.

I made these cards on my recent Facebook live, so you can see how I pulled them together here.

The technique is so easy, all you need is Isopropyl alcohol also known as rubbing alcohol, a paint brush/aqua painter, a small dish/cup and a straw. Although you don't have to use a straw - but it is fun!

Firstly, I made a simple birthday card using the Turtle Friends bundle, which is quickly becoming a favourite due to how cute it is!

I used a range of colours to create the background on vellum- Polished Pink, Mango Melody, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia. To get the colours to pop, I stuck the vellum to a piece of Basic White.

I then stamped and coloured my turtle on Basic White before punching out. I added a little hat (also in the stamp set) and fussy cut it out. Then I finished with a white heat embossed sentiment on black.

I stamped a little turtle on the inside piece and added the sentiment from the Happiest Birthdays stamp set.

I then went on to use the same background technique, letting those watching to pick the colours. I utilised the dies from the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle to cut some butterflies from rainbow glimmer paper (another favourite of mine),

I added the same heat embossed sentiment and finished with some self adhesive sequins from the artistry blooms pack.

To the inside, I used the large sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set and added a little butterfly, also cut from the rainbow glimmer paper.

I hope you like them, please let me know what you think!
