Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - Watercolour

This is my first time taking part in the Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday blog hop, so welcome! Whether you've started your journey here or have popped along from another crafter's, thank you so much for popping by.

This week's blog hop Technique Tuesday theme is watercolour. For my first card, I decided to mix things up a little and embossed some Shimmery White cardstock measuring 5 7/8 square with the new Painted Posies embossing folder. This is a 3D embossing folder and is absolutely gorgeous. I'm in love with it.

This first 2 cards I coloured using Soft Succulent, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya ink using our water painters. Once I'd finished colouring the embossed cardstock, I decided to cut this into 2 pieces to create 2 separate cards from it.

For the third card, I embossed a piece of Fluid 100 cardstock and watercoloured using Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Rich Razzleberry and Garden Green. I think this one turned out as my favourite.  The colours really seem to pop. I made the card 5 7/8" square from Shimmery White cardstock so it would be a closer match to the Fluid 100 paper.
