Suite Showcase no. 9 - Fresh as a Daisy

Hello! Welcome back to this month's first Suite Showcase. This week I'm sharing some projects that I have made using the Fresh as a Daisy suite and featuring some of our brand new colours from the recently released 2023/24 Annual Catalogue.

This is such a fabulous suite and once I started creating, I couldn't stop. For my first card I kept things simple and used a panel from the designer series paper (DSP). On a standard Copper Clay card base, I added a 1 inch strip of Copper Clay DSP from the In Color 6x6" DSP pack to the right of the base. I layered the panel on some Boho Blue card stock and adhered this onto the card base, aligning to the left so the strip of DSP can be seen.

From Basic White card stock, I die cut the label from the die set and stamped the sentiment in Boho Blue and added a strip of ribbon in the same colour behind the sentiment and adhered this on dimensionals to the bottom right. I finished this off with some of the adhesive backed gems from the suite.

For my second card, I still kept things simple by layering a piece of DSP measuring 10.1cm x 14.5cm on a standard Copper Clay card base. From the dies, I die cut the largest die from Basic White and using a blending brush, I added a little Boho Blue to the centre of the flowers. This was adhered to the DSP using liquid glue. After stamping the sentiment in Copper Clay, I trimmed this down and added some textured ribbon behind the sentiment, before adhering on dimensionals. The card was finished off with some adhesive backed gems, also in Copper Clay.

For my third card, I decided to step things up a bit. On a standard Moody Mauve card base, I adhered a layer of Moody Mauve embossed using the flower folder from our set of Basics 3d embossing folders.

Then on a layer of Basic White, I masked off a strip of the cardstock and using Moody Mauve ink, I blended between the masked off area. Then using Tuxedo Memento Black, I stamped the outline stamps for the large and small daisies to the right of the layer. I finished the flowers off by stamping the middles in Moody Mauve. Then stamped the sentiment in Memento Black and adhered to the embossed layer with liquid glue. I finished the card off with some 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

For my final card, I wanted to use more of the flowers but added in some foliage from Timeless Arrangements dies.

I chose to use Bubble Bath for the card base. This is a brand new core colour that has been introduced in this years Annual Catalogue. The blue DSP was adhered to a layer of Basic White, which I think made it pop. I stamped the smaller daisy and half daisy in Lemon Lolly (also a new colour) and die cut these out. Using some scraps, I die cut a stem and foliage in Old Olive from the suite. Again, I die cut the label in Basic White and stamped the sentiment in Bubble Bath.  To highlight the flowers, I die cut the second largest circle die from Vellum and adhered this to the DSP using liquid glue behind where the flowers sit so it can't be seen.  To add some more foliage behind the sentiment, I used the dies from Timeless Arrangements and cut from Boho Blue, Bubble Bath, Old Olive and Vellum. I glued these to the back of the sentiment. I added a strip of Black & White gingham ribbon and added the sentiment with foliage on dimensionals on top. To finish the card, I used the adhesive backed gems from the Suite in Boho Blue and Lemon Lolly.

I love how fresh this looks (pardon the pun).

I hope you like the cards. Head over to see what Alison has been making with the suite, at
