Monthly Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop- Something New

Welcome to this month's Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop. Whether you're starting your journey here or have joined me from Mo's gorgeous project, there's lots of inspiration using some of the new goodies from the Annual Catalogue.

This month I decided to concentrate on simple stamping. I used the Watercolour Shapes to create a simple rainbow stripe down the left hand side. To create the stripes, I masked off a strip of card to stamp the small rectangle using Polished Pink, So Saffron, Soft Succulent, Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia.

Then I combined it with the new Biggest Wish stamp set to turn it into a birthday card. I added flower detail using the Color & Contour stamp set, with some added dottage on the stripes. And finished with some our gorgeous new 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels and Fresh Freesia ribbon.

I did simple layers to allow the rainbow colours to be the star by adding the stamped piece on basic black and added that to a Fresh Freesia card base.

Diversity day FREE download for all

The first Stampin’ Up! value statement is: we care about people first. What does that look like? Caring about people first means treating others with kindness, respect, and equal consideration. It means working together towards a common goal, helping each other through life’s challenges, and celebrating one another’s accomplishments. It means including others, even when we disagree, have contrasting life experiences, or simply see things differently. Caring about people first is our greatest strength!

In honour of this value—and in the spirit of World Diversity Day—we’d like to celebrate what makes us unique through what brings us together: creativity! The United Through Creativity Digital Download features inclusive, multicultural, and multilingual sentiments and illustrations that represent the multiple markets Stampin’ Up! engages with. And, it’s free for all!

Have a whale of a time

Hello all,

In my Facebook live this week I used the Whale Done bundle from the current mini catalogue.

I decided to try a different technique and used my clear blocks to create a faux watercolour background. I used a combination of pool party, coastal cabana and pretty peacock for the first card. I applied the ink directly to the block and then spritzed with water before 'stamping' it on shimmery white cardstock. I then used pretty peacock to stamp the scene and sentiment. I was quite pleased with the outcome.

I then repeated the process using pool party, pacific point and night of navy ink on a bigger clear block. Then I used a combination of night of navy and pacific point to stamp the scene and sentiment.

You can watch by Facebook live here to see in more detail how I made them.

Ink. Stamp. Share Monthly Blog Hop May 2021

Hello, and welcome to this month's Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop. If you've joined my blog from Deb's, welcome and wasn't her inspiration fab?! There really are some talented crafters in this hop.

This time we're sharing our current projects and I've been mostly focused on using products from our January to June mini catalogue. So in my last two Facebook lives, I've used Baby Pull Toys and Brushed Blooms to create a new baby card. I wanted to create something that was easy to replicate but effective too. See how I made the card here

I've also been working with the Snailed It bundle. I just love the snails, I'll be sad to see them go at the end of June.

I used them in my Facebook live (see the video here) this week to make these two cards. I used the strawberry stamp and punch set and googly eyes to one card to add a bit of humour:

But since the Facebook live, I've also made these two...I just can't stop now. They're so cute and versatile and great for any occasion.

Next up on the hop is Donna. Just click the next button below or select from the roll call below, to check out what everyone has been working on.

Baby boy card

Hi there and welcome back to my blog.

Today I'm sharing with you a commissioned baby card I recently made for a friend who has just welcomed a new nephew into the world.

I used our Brushed Blooms stamp set to create the background with the Stamparatus stamping platform.

To see how I created the card, you can view the recreation in my Facebook live here.

I used the giraffe and elephant from the Baby Pull Toys stamp set to colour and fussy cut, to add detail to the card.

Retiring Boho Indigo

Hello all,

How are you all doing? Well I hope!

Today I thought I would share with you some cards made at a class I attended a couple of weeks ago with the fabulous Mikaela Titheridge.

We made simple but effective cards using the Boho Indigo kit. As we’re moving into a new annual catalogue on Tuesday 4th May, the kit has unfortunately been retired but you can use the layouts on any that of your supplies you already own. Or you could treat yourself to some of the gorgeous goodies we have coming in the new catalogue next week!

Here are the individual layouts for each of the cards we made combined with Peaceful Moments stamp set (which is still available through the new annual catalogue) for the sentiments...

Aren’t they great?! Let me know which one is your favourite!

If you want to sign up as a demonstrator, why not take advantage of the offer from 4th May and get your £154 starter kit for just £99! Just click on the link on the right hand side.

Ink . Stamp . Share Monthly Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Welcome! Didn't you love Donna's project? There is so much talent on this blog hop, make sure to hop all the way around. This month's blog hop was a sketch challenge.

For this challenge I used our Boho Indigo Medley to create my card. I layered up the designer series paper from the kit and added it to a Misty Moonlight card base.

For the gems, I used the flowers that come in the medley but I coloured them with my Misty Moonlight Blends pen. I love this medley so much, it's so versatile even if you just have the refill kit. The medley is reduced from £65 to £39 so be sure to order yours so you don't miss out!

I hope you like it. Why don't you give it a go and share your makes with me?!

Next up on the hop is SusanI know that you will love her project.  Click on the next button below or any of the links under the roll call.
