Ink-Stamp-Share Monthly Blog Hop- Male card

Hello there and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. March Monthly Blog Hop as we showcase male themed cards to help inspire you. I hope you will take the time to hop along and visit the amazing Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who are participating in our blog hop as they share their ideas and projects to help spark your creative spirit.

When I saw this month's male theme, I immediately though of the Whiskey Business stamp set.

For my card, I decided to make a square card. I cut a sheet of Early Espresso to 11.5" x 5 3/4" and scored on the long side at 5 3/4". I used Cinnamon Cider as my mat & layer and cut this to 5.5" x 5.5" and randomly stamped the whiskey decanter all over. I then layered this with a square of vellum, cut to 5 1/4" square.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the decanter and glasses then coloured these in with my blends in a mixture of cinnamon cider light and dark, dark mango melody and dark pumpkin pie. To the edge of the glasses and decanter, I added a hint of light pool party. I fussy cut these out and stuck them to the sentiment with dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I stepped it up by using dies from the Hippo and Friends dies to cut some early espresso and embossed it with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder; then stamped a sentiment on the cinnamon cider die cut.

With the vellum on the background, I love how it makes the whiskey decanter and glasses pop and makes that and the sentiment the focal point, It was a really fun and easy card to make and I think will suit any whiskey drinker, my dad included!

Corner fold card

Hi all,

Welcome back to my blog.

Today I thought I would share with you a corner fold card that I've been playing with. It turns out it was really easy!

I used a 10.5cm square card base to make it. Then I cut a separate piece of card at 11.5cm square. Scored at 1 cm on 2 sides (next to each other). I mitred the corner where the score lines met, added tear and tape to the tabs and attached to the card blank. For more detail, please see the PDF tutorial here on my website.

I hope you like the card. Why don't you try out some different sizes?

Colour In Bloom

Hello! I wanted to share with you my latest make for The Spot#154-Case the Designer, here.

I've CASEd Dena's bright and cheerful slimline card that can be seen here.

I used a standard card base and the curvy celebrations dies to cut basic black and designer series paper from the True Love set. Then it was just a case of using the In Bloom bundle to die cut some colourful flowers.

I then used the stamp set to add some colour to the inside of the card.

Butterfly Bijou

Hello, hello

What a busy week! We had Mother's Day on Sunday and it was also my parents 51st Wedding Anniversary.

As it was Mother's Day and my mum loves butterflies, what better set to use than the Butterfly Brilliance bundle and the Butterfly Bijou designer series paper.

I combined the butterflies with a retired stamp set - Life is beautiful, to add the spots in the background. It just made it fun and gave a focal point for the butterflies. The butterflies were cut straight from the designer series paper, which makes life so easy!

For the inside of the card, I layered mango melody under basic white, used the Happy Thoughts stamp set to add the verse and added another butterfly cut from the dsp.

The Butterfly Brilliance is a great set that comprises of one big stamp with multiple different sized butterflies with a matching die. The matching die cuts all the butterflies from the stamp out in one go but it also includes other more detailed butterflies with background dies. It's such great value for money that also saves you time when crafting.

Baby card with a difference

Hello, hello. I hope you’re all well.

Today I have a baby card for you, but it’s a card with a difference. It’s not a traditional baby card, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Dino Days stamp set for a dear friend who’s had a baby and loves dinosaurs.

I made this during a team’s mystery stamping zoom session. I had such fun, as we always do, making this card and I can’t wait to use this fun fold with other designs.

We learnt how to fold our cards on a diagonal, so it twists open; isn’t it great?!

I used the Sale-A-Bration stamp set – Punch Party for the sentiment on the inside together with the Making a Difference stamp set to include the personalisation.

Here's a video showing how it opens:
