Ink.Stamp.Share. Blog Hop - July monthly showcase

Hello and welcome to the Ink-Stamp-Share July monthly showcase blog hop. Whether you've joined me from Stacey's fabulous blog or are starting your journey here, welcome, you'll find lots of inspiration from some very talented crafters.

This month, I wanted to share with you some cards I've made using the gorgeous Artistically Inked bundle. I created these recently during my Facebook live, which you can watch here.

For my first card, I took inspiration from Mitosu Crafts using their split ink technique. You can create this effect using the long stamp from the bundle, on a piece of card that is the same length as the card base but 3/4" narrower, I stamped a little up from one edge on the short side in Fresh Freesia and then on the edge and blending into the Fresh Freesia, I stamped again in Blackberry Bliss, then I used my blending brush in Blackberry Bliss along the outer edge. I turned the piece of card around and repeated the process at the other end of the piece of card in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. To create the split ink effect, I then cut the piece of card in half on the long edge and placed the two stamped ends back to back. I stamped and fussy cut 'thanks' from the stamp set and added some sequins from the ephemera pack that comes as part of the Artistically Inked suite.

The second card above was created using some DSP using the large scallop die from the Colour & Contour bundle. and the large floral die was cut from Evening Evergreen. The sentiment was also stamped in Evening Evergreen and a flash of Fresh Freesia was added to the back of the sentiment and again added some of the sequins from the ephemera pack. I also die cut from the Painted Labels dies the small border from our Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and attached it underneath the sentiment.

My next card I used a combination of DSP and a piece of Basic White that I used the long scallop edge die from Colour & Contour bundle and then I embossed it with the 3D Brick & Mortar embossing folder. I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set, on Evening Evergreen and then layered with some of the floral and frame elements from the ephemera pack and finished off with some champagne rhinestones.

And finally, I concentrated mainly on the gorgeous DSP, I pulled inspiration from Julie Davison for this one. With a Magenta Madness card base, I stamped the large floral stamp in Magenta Madness and then layered some Pale Papaya, again stamped with some of the smaller floral images in Pale Papaya. I then layered the Pale Papaya to the bottom third of the card base. I layered some DSP on Basic White and added some dimensionals to adhere it to the card base. From the Painted Labels dies, I die cut the large swirly circle from our Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and in Basic White, the 1 7/8" circle from the Layering Circles dies. I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set in Magenta Madness and layered on the gold. I completed the card with a few more sequins from the ephemera pack.

I hope you like them. Next up is Donna, click the next button below to see what she's been making, alternatively you can click any of the links in the roll call below.
