Suite Showcase 13 - Masterfully Made

Hello! It's July already!

This week's Suite Showcase features the Masterfully Made suite. Although I will say, I've only purchased the DSP so far, but with the colour co-ordination that Stampin' Up brings us, it can be used with most of the products available.

For my first card, I introduced our Basic Borders dies with the new Layering Leaves stamp set. I cut a piece of DSP to the same width as my standard card base, together with a piece of Berry Burst cardstock. I cut the Berry Burst cardstock approximately 1/4" longer than the DSP piece and cut each piece using the rounded Basic Border die, off setting the angle on one side. And then adhered the DSP and cardstock together. Before attaching these to my standard size card base, I laid them down to gauge where I wanted to stamp my sentiment in Pretty Peacock. I also stamped the dottage around the sentiment and under the DSP layer in Bubble Bath. I added the DSP & cardstock layer to the card base on dimensionals to give it some interest.

On a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a set of leaves from the Layering Leaves set in Lost Lagoon and the small flower in Berry Burst, then punched these out. I adhered these to the left of my sentiment with glue dots and added a white twine bow. To complete the card I used the Pretty Peacock embellishments from the Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio set.

For my second card, I used Pretty Peacock for my standard size card base. I added a matting layer of Berry Burst and Lost Lagoon. From the Lost Lagoon layer, I die cut a circle using the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes dies and then embossed this layer using the new Exposed Brick 3d embossing folder.  I trimmed a piece of DSP down to fit the die cut circle window, attaching it with liquid glue. I adhered both these layers to the Berry Burst layer.

Using a scrap piece of Berry Burst, measuring the same width of the Berry Burst matting layer; I ripped the cardstock to give some depth. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a scrap of Pretty Peacock and trimmed to the same width of the Berry Burst piece. Then adhered these together and onto the card. To complete the card, on a scrap piece of Basic White I stamped the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist and the small flower in Berry Burst and punched them out. I also punched some additional leaves in Vellum Basics cardstock. Again, I layered these together to the left of my sentiment using glue dots and added a white twine bow. Finishing the card with more of the Pretty Peacock adhesive backed sequins, as before.

For my final card, I thought I'd share with you the fun fold card I made recently for my Stamp Around UK video hop. I got the inspiration from Patty Bennett (USA) and Mikaela Titheridge (UK) for the card. I adjusted my measurements to use a half sheet of 12" x 12" DSP. You can watch the video here on how I made it.

I hope you like the cards. Please head over to see what Alison has been making at The Inkspirational Crafter
