Suite Showcase 24 - Softly Stippled

Hello and Happy New Year!

Welcome to the first Suite Showcase of the year, I hope you had a lovely festive season. This month, I'm showing what I've been making using the FREE Sale-A-Bration Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper. During January and February you can earn free items with every £45 spend. For all of my cards, I've used the Kraft notecards and envelopes, the new Stippled Rose bundle and Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder. These 3 items come to over £90 which allows you to pick 2 FREE Sale-A-Bration items and for these cards I've used the Softly Stippled DSP and Opaque Faceted Gems.

The notecards and envelopes come in a pack of 20 cards, 20 envelopes and a gift box. These are ideal for gifting someone. Each of the cards measure 5" x 3 1/2". All of the sentiments were created using the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder. This is quickly becoming my new favourite. You can use the embossing folder on its own or combine it with the co-ordinating die to cut each of the sentiments out in one pass through the Cut & Emboss machine.

For the first card, I just cut the sentiments from Basic White cardstock. I used a matting layer of DSP with some vellum cardstock over the top to soften the colour. From another piece of DSP I punched a decorative circle to layer behind the sentiment. The foliage was die cut from the Stippled Rose bundle in Basic White.

For my second card, I added Memento black ink to the side of the embossing folder with the Stampin' Up logo and then ran through the Cut & Emboss machine to create a letterpress design. This time, I punched a hexagon from Pebbled Path and a Decorative Circle from Vellum. The foliage was cut in Pebbled Path and Calypso Coral.

To create the coloured sentiments, I did the same as my previous card by inking the embossing folder and die cutting from Lost Lagoon cardstock. For the third card, I cut a range of sizes from the DSP and layered them together.

On my last card, I added a little bit of Pool Party Crinkle ribbon, which is also available as a free Sale-A-Bration item.

All the cards were finished using the Opaque Faceted Gems from Sale-A-Bration.

I hope you like the cards I've made so far. Why not head over to The Inkspirational Crafter to see what Alison has made using the DSP.
